Workshop at the Frist
I am very happy to announce that I will be doing a workshop at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts on Saturday, September 13, in conjunction with their exhibition, Color As Field: American Painting, 1950–1975.
One of my favorite pieces from the show, Floral V by Morris Louis.
It will be held from 10 am – 4 pm that Saturday at the Frist, and the price of the workshop includes free admission to the exhibition. We will be using the works in the show to inspire us to create our own masterpieces on scarves. Each workshop participant will go home with several silk scarves and lots of new knowledge. You can make your own wearable art piece and show it off to friends and family!
It is only $40 for members, and $45 for non-members. All supplies are included. That’s a good deal for a workshop of this kind.
To register, click this link and fill out the registration form, then send it to the Frist Center.
I hope to see you there!

I love the conjunction of the exhibition and workshop. What a great idea!
Unfortunately, it’s a little to far away for me. I hope you get lots of participants.
