I just posted some pics of pieces I’m getting ready for the CRAFT show on Saturday.
Take a look! The gallery has a couple pieces created by my partner, Nat. There’s also one of Zeus with two scarves that recently left my care.
The rest of the week will be dyeing, dyeing, dyeing. It is lots of work, but it is very satisfying.

Hey everyone! Sorry it’s taken me a while to update after the show. I had lots of fun meeting fellow crafters and local craft enthusiasts. The crafting community here in Nashville is welcoming and open, and I am glad to be a part of it.
The pieces left over from my table at the show are now in my etsy shop. I can still get things to people by Christmas, and will even meet up with you to deliver something if you live in the area. I think I will be posting a few new items tonight, including some I didn’t have at the show (pics here).
I am also working on getting a workshop together for shibori, so shoot me an email if you want to sign up for it. If you gave me your email at the show, don’t worry. I have it and will email you when I have a place and date together.
Here are a few photos from the Rock Your Stocking Event. Thanks to Ray for taking this shot, and thanks to my friend Maria for taking the rest!
Well, tomorrow is the big day. I am very excited about this show!
Here is a photo of most of the pieces I will have in my booth. Click on it to see it full-size.

Here’s another pic of some new scarves for the RYS show on the 2nd. You can see the end of Zeus as he eats his dinner in the front of the pic. Not all of these are finished, and I will be taking some more pictures for my site photo album tomorrow. I posted some new scarves on the photo album last week, in case you missed them.
I also bought some new surikomi bake [pic] this week, from McClain’s Printmaking Supplies. They are beautiful! I already had a 6 and 10 from my college days, and I purchased the 2, 4, and 8 to have a bit more variety in brush size when using these. We bought them for our katazome semester, but I find them useful for more general dyeing tasks as well. They hold so much dye and are great for when you don’t have much dye but need it to go far. Plus, they are soft and beautifully made. You can tell which ones in this pic have endured years of use, as opposed to my fresh new brushes.
I have only one week to get ready for the show, and I’m equal parts excited and nervous. It will be my first show, and I just want everything to go well. Thank goodness I have sane people around me to calm me down and remind me that everything will be ok.
Here’s what our back room looks like now. The cats have some company for some of the scarves I’m preparing for the Rock Your Stocking Show on Sunday, December 2nd. I’ll be working on some more this weekend as well!
